Mission:
We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to strengthen the market impact of Marlink’s Maritime Business Unit, a major growth driver for the Group.
This transversal role connects Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to sharpen positioning, clarify value propositions, and support successful go-to-market execution across maritime products, services, and solution suites.
You will translate complex capabilities into compelling customer narratives, equip Sales with practical enablement assets, and bring market and customer insight back into the organisation to improve relevance, adoption, bundling, and commercial performance.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Portfolio Positioning, Messaging & Value Proposition
- Define and maintain customer-centric positioning for maritime products, services, and solution suites.
- Translate technical capabilities into clear benefits, differentiated messages, and practical commercial arguments.
- Create messaging frameworks that help Pre-Sales and Sales explain offerings consistently and convincingly.
- Ensure coherent narratives, solution descriptions, and value articulation across internal and external channels.
- Align messaging with customer needs, market expectations, and commercial priorities.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Portfolio Orchestration
- Coordinate priorities, launches, messaging, and market activation across Product Management, Sales, and Marketing.
- Convert product strategy, roadmap developments, solution pillars, and differentiators into market-ready narratives and assets.
- Capture field challenges, customer reactions, and commercial needs to continuously refine enablement.
- Ensure campaigns, content, and communication programs reinforce the portfolio narrative and business objectives.
Go-to-Market Support & Sales Enablement
- Lead go-to-market planning for product launches, portfolio updates, and strategic commercial initiatives.
- Develop enablement assets such as pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards, customer narratives, and objection-handling guides.
- Equip Sales with structured stories and practical content that increase confidence and consistency in customer discussions.
- Help regions and market segments present Marlink solutions in a simple, relevant, and compelling way.
Customer Insight, Market Intelligence & Portfolio Optimization
- Synthesize customer insight, market feedback, and commercial input to strengthen relevance and differentiation.
- Stay close to customers and customer-facing teams to understand needs, buying drivers, adoption barriers, and objections.
- Monitor market developments, competitor positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and differentiation opportunities.
- Clarify target audiences, buyer needs, use cases, and messaging angles to support segmentation and engagement.
- Share structured insights with Product Managers and business stakeholders to guide portfolio evolution, prioritization, bundling, and go-to-market improvement.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Proven experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing, go-to-market, or a related B2B technology role, ideally in telecommunications, cyber security, cloud, connectivity, or managed services.
- Strong ability to position offerings, craft compelling stories, and translate complex solutions into customer-relevant value.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments in a transversal role.
- Customer-centric and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn market insight into actionable recommendations.
- Maritime experience is highly desirable; exposure to maritime digital solutions or related B2B environments is a strong advantage. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Other Conditions
- Full‑time position, based in Europe (flexible within Marlink’s European footprint), preferably in The Hague, The Netherlands, or Brussels, Belgium.
- Hybrid working model combining remote work with on‑site collaboration.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Marlink offices and customer locations as required.
