We are looking for an experienced South Indian Specialty Chef with in-depth knowledge of traditional South Indian cuisine. The role focuses on preparing authentic dishes and managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing authentic South Indian dishes, including regional specialties from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka.
- Preparing and serving traditional banana leaf meals.
- Managing daily kitchen operations, including planning, preparation, and service
- Maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Supervising kitchen staff and coordinating workflow during busy service periods
- Ensuring hygiene, food safety, and compliance with Dutch regulations
- Managing ingredient sourcing, including spices and specialty products.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a chef in South Indian cuisine
- Demonstrable experience with: Traditional South Indian cooking techniques (e.g. dosa batter fermentation, spice tempering, regional curries)
- Preparation and service of banana leaf meals
- Experience with north Indian cooking would be an advantage
- Experience with operating a tandoor would be an advantage.
- Experience managing or supervising a kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of authentic flavours, ingredients, and preparation methods

Pay: €2.800,00 - €3.100,00 per month
