As a Sales Consultant, you are responsible for developing leads. You know how to translate our cutting-edge technology into sales results. You are part of our sales team, consisting of New Business Developers, Sales Consultants, Technical Specialists, and Sales Engineers. As a Sales Consultant, you are the key link within the team. The Business Developers generate leads and hand over potential customers to you. From that moment on, you are responsible for the entire sales process.
Your responsibilities include:
Meet with customers to translate their ideas into concrete plans;
Translating customer requirements into clear input for the calculation departments;
Reviewing quotations with the customer to close a deal;
Building and strengthening relationships with our (potential) customers.
What's makes this role interesting? You'll work on unique projects! Our portfolio consists of high‑tech greenhouses and indoor farms featuring the most advanced technologies. It’s no coincidence that we are the most innovative greenhouse builder in the world! This requires both commercial and technical expertise from you. In addition, we work with a diverse range of customers all over the world: from growers to investors, from the Netherlands to Australia. This requires understanding your audience and excellent communication skills. You are also a valued technical discussion partner and know when to involve support from our in‑house specialists where needed.
You have a commercial background with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the horticulture sector;
You have experience successfully selling greenhouses and large-scale, complex projects;
You possess technical knowledge; experience with horticultural technology is a plus;
You are results‑driven, independent, creative, proactive, and persuasive;
You have a passion for translating complex technical challenges into sales strategies;
You are internationally oriented, and with your flexible mindset, traveling is no issue - on average a few days, twice a month;
You have excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English.
