PROJECT DESCRIPTION
iMotivat is expanding its business development capabilities and is seeking a highly motivated Freelance Sales, Business Development, Marketing & Events Assistant to support our growth across the Netherlands and Europe.
Working directly with our CEO, you will help grow our client base, strengthen strategic partnerships, organise executive events, produce outreach content, and increase our visibility across government, defence, international organisations, technology companies and the private sector.
Role at a glance

ABOUT THE ROLE
· Support iMotivat’s commercial growth by identifying new business opportunities.
· Build relationships with prospective clients, partners and professional communities.
· Coordinate executive meetings and help prepare follow-up actions.
· Organise, promote and support iMotivat-hosted events, workshops and webinars.
· Create engaging marketing and outreach content that showcases iMotivat’s expertise.
· Help position iMotivat as one of Europe’s trusted consultancies in Programme & Project Management, Digital Sovereignty, Governance, AI and European-funded programme delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
· Research and identify prospective clients across the Netherlands and Europe.
· Build and maintain prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems and other business development tools.
· Identify CIOs, CISOs, IT Directors, Digital Transformation Directors, Enterprise Architects, Procurement Managers and other relevant decision-makers.
· Generate qualified sales leads and support the development of the commercial pipeline.
· Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, email, telephone and networking activities.
· Follow up with prospects and help move conversations towards meetings and proposals.
· Schedule meetings and introductions for the CEO.
· Support proposal writing, capability statements, presentations and follow-up activities.
· Research public tenders, business opportunities and relevant market developments.
· Identify partnership opportunities and strategic collaborations.
· Use LinkedIn and email campaigns to reach potential clients and partners.
· Maintain and update the sales pipeline and CRM.
· Track opportunities from first contact through to proposal and contract award.
Marketing & Outreach
· Develop and coordinate outreach campaigns across LinkedIn, email and other digital channels.
· Prepare brochures, capability statements, presentations, blogs, newsletters, case studies and other marketing materials.
· Assist with website content updates and thought leadership articles.
· Create and schedule professional social media content for iMotivat.
· Produce short promotional videos, interview clips, event highlights and marketing reels.
· Record and edit videos featuring the CEO, partners and project activities for outreach campaigns.
· Support photography and visual content creation for marketing and employer branding.
· Help create video messages for client outreach, event follow-up and community engagement.
· Package key messages from iMotivat events into posts, blogs, short videos and brochures.
· Help increase iMotivat’s visibility within government, technology, cybersecurity, defence, AI, digital sovereignty and innovation communities.
· Support outreach to the professional communities and networks where iMotivat is active.
Events & Community Engagement
· Research relevant conferences, exhibitions, networking events, trade missions and community gatherings.
· Coordinate event registrations, logistics, invitations and follow-up communications.
· Organise iMotivat-hosted workshops, webinars, executive roundtables, breakfast sessions and networking events.
· Prepare event plans, guest lists, invitation messages and speaker coordination notes.
· Develop marketing campaigns before, during and after each event.
· Coordinate photography, video recording, interviews and live social media coverage during events.
· Arrange meetings with prospects before and during events.
· Support event planning and execution on the day of the event.
· Assist with marketing campaigns before and after events.
· Build relationships with industry associations, innovation hubs, universities, business communities, technology networks and relevant professional groups.
· Track leads and business opportunities generated from events and community outreach activities.
Executive & Administrative Support
· Prepare executive presentations, meeting packs, proposals and reports.
· Coordinate calendars, appointments and client meetings.
· Maintain sales reports and weekly activity reports.
· Support proposal and bid administration.
· Maintain accurate records of client interactions and commercial activities.
· Help the CEO prepare for meetings, events, interviews and outreach campaigns.
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Speaks and writes fluent Dutch and English - essential.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Strong organisational skills.
· Experience or strong interest in sales, business development, marketing, communications or event management.
· Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar outreach tools.
· Experience with CRM systems or willingness to learn quickly.
· Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
· Professional telephone manner and confidence speaking to senior stakeholders.
· Ability to create professional presentations, brochures, blogs, newsletters and social media content.
· Basic video recording and editing skills for interviews, promotional videos and outreach campaigns.
· Good writing skills for emails, LinkedIn messages, event invitations and follow-up communication.
· Comfortable representing iMotivat at conferences, workshops, networking events and client meetings.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
Preferred Experience / Knowledge
- Experience in B2B sales and business development.
- Experience organising business events, conferences, workshops, webinars, or networking sessions.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn outreach, and professional networking.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage leads and sales pipelines.
- Experience creating marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, newsletters, blogs, and case studies.
- Experience managing social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
- Basic experience recording and editing short promotional videos for marketing and outreach.
- Experience coordinating email marketing and digital outreach campaigns.
- Strong proposal, presentation, and business writing skills.
- Experience working with senior executives, business leaders, or decision-makers.
- Experience working in a consultancy, professional services firm, or fast-growing business would be an advantage.
- Experience building relationships with government organisations, international organisations, industry associations, or business communities would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of professional networking, client relationship management, and business etiquette.
- Interest in business growth, strategic partnerships, and helping organisations succeed.
