About the role:
Nordquest is looking for an experienced Chef to manage the daily food production in one of our canteens in Eemshaven, Netherlands. You will be responsible for meal preparation, food quality, kitchen organization, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
We are looking for someone with strong practical cooking skills, able to work in a dynamic environment and contribute positively to the kitchen team.
Salary is based on experience and results.
Own transportation is required.
Key responsibilities:
- Organize and prepare meals according to standard recipes
- Plan and prepare daily specials
- Maintain portion control and food quality standards
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and daily activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Assist with stock checks, ordering, and deliveries
- Contribute to menu planning and occasional catering for events
- Control food costs and minimize waste
- Accommodate dietary requirements and food allergies
- Ensure timely meal service during designated hours
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Help implement new food concepts together with headquarters (HQ)
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a chef in a canteen, catering, or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate a small kitchen team and work under pressure
- Good command of English
- Fluent in Ukrainian (required)
- Own transportation is required
