At Ayvens we have an opening for a Senior Business Controller .
What are you going to do? As our new Senior Business Controller , you will be part of the Commercial International Team and act as the central finance lead for a business-critical international fleet program supporting one of Ayvens’ largest global clients. In this role, you will drive the evolution of the program’s financial platform, ensure robust and compliant accounting practices, and deliver accurate, auditable reporting across multiple countries. You will take ownership of the program’s profitability model, lead the delivery of financial reporting requirements, and ensure strong financial controls and data quality standards are maintained. Working closely with local finance teams, operational stakeholders, and the customer, you will translate business needs into effective financial reporting solutions, while continuously improving processes and driving business performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and financial governance across the international fleet program.
- Leading the further development and maintenance of the program profitability model.
- Managing customer reporting requirements and translating them into compliant, auditable finance reports.
- Driving improvements to Record-to-Report processes, reporting tools, and financial systems.
- Leading financial analysis and providing actionable insights to support business performance and decision-making.
- Coordinating with and coaching local finance controllers to ensure consistent delivery and high-quality financial reporting.
- Establishing and managing monthly P&L reporting and KPI monitoring across all participating countries.
- Conducting accounting assessments and acting as a key user for Opex and Capex processes and systems.
- Monitoring debt positions and delivering regular reporting and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparing and presenting periodic business reviews, financial updates, and performance reports.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and customer escalations while ensuring service excellence.
- Supporting the development of automated reporting solutions in collaboration with local finance teams.
- Who are we looking for?
- You are a highly analytical and commercially minded finance professional who thrives in an international environment. You combine strong technical finance expertise with the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple countries, functions, and stakeholder groups. You are comfortable working with complex financial data, managing customer expectations, and driving continuous improvements that deliver measurable business value.
- You will have relevant experience in a similar role, preferably holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant international experience as a (Senior) Controller, preferably within mobility, fleet management, leasing, logistics, or a related sector.
- Proven experience in finance reporting, reporting development, and data analysis for large international or global clients.
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, accounting assessments, and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders in a complex multinational environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and a focus on data quality and control.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
- Self-starter mindset with the agility, collaboration, and decision-making capabilities required to thrive in a dynamic international business environment.
- Fluent in English is required. Knowledge of an additional language such as Spanish, French, or German is considered an advantage.
