The position as HR Advisor Europe is based in Zwijndrecht (NL). The HR Advisor has a key role in supporting, motivating and accelerating our company strategy ensuring profitable growth through focus, alignment and agility. The advisor is the first point of contact for the management and employees in our production- and harvesting facilities in Europa and for our European and APAC sales team. For the European colleagues working remote, he/she is the first point of contact on every HR-topic, from recruitment, to car-lease, remuneration, benefits, etc.
The HR Advisor pro-actively participates in identifying and developing initiatives to increase employee engagement. Streamlining and aligning processes such as performance management, reimbursement policies, discussing and/or advising on training and development programs and onboarding are important functions of this position. Starting from the global HR-Strategy, the HR advisor Europe takes the lead in ensuring uniform processes and procedures for our locations and legal entities in Europe. Next to that he/she takes responsibility for external payroll administration in Europe and APAC.
The HR Advisor Europe is a member of our Global HR Team, meeting monthly to review, develop and discuss our global HR initiatives and policies, sharing best practices and contribute to our global Jiffy Strategy. Today the HR Team is represented by HR specialists from the Netherlands, Canada, Europe, Sri Lanka and the US.
The position of HR Advisor Europe reports to the Chief Organization & Development Officer (based in The Netherlands), and does interact with Local Production Managers, Sales Managers (sales, marketing, innovation, and solution support), Financial department and IT.
Responsibilities of this position
- Contributing, identifying and making initiatives to increase employee satisfaction, engagement and feeling of involvement
- Developing and implementing initiatives such as talent programs, leadership programs, traineeship, employee development, etc.
- Recruitment of staff withing own area of responsibility
- Support and execute the employee benefits program, ensuring it complies with legal requirements
- Administration and implementation and follow-up of HR-processes
- Updating existing and developing new job descriptions
- Development and coordination of on-boarding programs for new employees
- Coordination and monitoring performance management
- Monitor HR indicators such as retention rate, illness rates, etc.
- Advise and guide managers and employees on all matters relating to human resources
- Promote well-being at work (hygiene, safety, ergonomics, accident prevention)
- Coordinate the European company car fleet
We expect the candidate to travel to our production locations in Europe to align HR policies and initiatives with local management.

- Ability to navigate with and understand (international) legislation and translate this to real-life situations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS-systems and/or related software

- Hands-on approach to colleagues and management
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources (or equivalent working experience)
- Three to five years of relevant experience in an international HR job, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment
- Experienced in supporting an organisation in an accelerated change-process.
- Experienced in development and implementation of HR initiatives such as talent programs, traineeship, employee development, etc.
- Dutch and English language fluently in word and writing, other languages will be an advantage
- Knowledge of and experience in employment legislation
- Additional training/experience in Payroll Management and Employee Benefits such as personnel insurances, pension schemes, etc. is considered an advantage
