This position is part of the Essential Products business (Essco) within Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH). This is one of the two standalone entities to be created from ANH, as part of the divestment to CVC Capital.
Shape the insurance strategy of a global Essential Products business. As Global Director of Group Insurance you will help protect the business from financial volatility through insurance and risk financing solutions, while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Your key responsibilities
Shape and drive insurance strategy

Develop and continuously improve the global insurance strategy aligned with business objectives and risk appetite

Advise senior leadership on risk exposure, coverage adequacy, and market developments

Define governance frameworks, standards, and best practices across the organization
Lead global insurance programs

Design and place cost-effective global and local insurance programs

Manage end-to-end renewal processes, including underwriting submissions, broker coordination, and insurer negotiations

Ensure robust policy structures, minimizing coverage gaps and duplication
Strengthen risk insights and resilience

Coordinate site-level risk assessments, property surveys, and loss prevention initiatives

Drive business interruption (BI) readiness and valuation accuracy in collaboration with Finance and Operations

Support prioritization of risk mitigation actions across manufacturing sites
Own claims and recovery processes

Lead claims governance from incident notification through settlement

Coordinate major loss events with internal and external stakeholders

Analyze claims trends to inform risk strategy and operational improvements
Enable business growth and transformation

Advise on insurance implications of M&A, new projects, and expansion initiatives

Support contract reviews, including insurance clauses and indemnities

Act as subject matter expert during strategic and operational changes
Ensure governance, compliance, and reporting

Deliver clear management reporting on risks, claims, and program performance

Maintain audit-ready documentation and policy records
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls

You bring
Experience
-
5+ years in corporate insurance, risk management, or a related field

Proven experience managing multinational insurance programs in a complex, industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong track record in renewals, claims management, and insurer/broker negotiations
Technical expertise

Deep knowledge of property, casualty, and specialty insurance lines (e.g. cyber, D&O, product liability)

Strong understanding of manufacturing risks, business interruption, and supply chain dependencies
-
Ability to interpret policy structures, coverage terms, and risk financing mechanisms
Key competencies
