About the Role
As a Junior Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee and support housekeeping operations across one or multiple hotel locations. You will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, managing team performance, supporting recruitment and training initiatives, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
You will work closely with hotel management, Team Leaders, and housekeeping staff to drive operational success and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across assigned properties.
- Supervise and housekeeping staff to ensure service excellence.
- Support Team Leaders with operational questions.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Monitor cleanliness standards and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing requirements.
- Ensure all rooms are completed and available according to operational deadlines.
- Train, coach, and develop Team Leaders and housekeeping employees.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives.
- Monitor productivity, quality scores, guest feedback, and operational performance.
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints and service issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and company procedures.
- Prepare operational reports and communicate performance updates to management.
- Travel between hotel locations as required to provide support and operational oversight.
- Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Housekeeping Manager in a hotel or serviced apartment environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing housekeeping teams.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, quality control, and productivity management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Professional and guest-focused mindset.
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays when required.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel between hotel locations within The Netherlands.
