About the role: We are looking for a hands-on Operational Area Manager who leads by example and has a deep understanding of restaurant operations. The ideal candidate has grown through operational roles, understands the business from the ground up, and is not afraid to work alongside the team when needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the performance of multiple restaurant locations.
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards and operational procedures.
- Coach, develop, and support Restaurant Managers and their teams.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train employees.
- Monitor and improve key business performance indicators (KPIs), including: Sales, Food cost, Labor cost, EBITDA, Mystery Shopper Scores, Operational Excellence Reviews (OER) results
- Ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Analyze operational and financial performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Travel regularly between restaurant locations and provide hands-on operational support when needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 year of restaurant, hospitality, retail or other relevant management experience. Experience in managing multiple locations (as area manager, district manager, or regional manager).
- Strong background in restaurant operations with experience progressing through operational roles).
- Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success improving operational and financial KPIs.
- Solid understanding of the Dutch market, employment legislation, and operational compliance.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (Spoken and written).
- Valid Dutch work authorization. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Netherlands.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Results-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What We Offer:
- Salary range of 3500-4000 based on qualifications and experience.
- 20 days paid annual leave (based on full-time).
