Summary
Knauf Insulation is seeking a Public Affairs Manager for its representation office in the Netherlands. The ideal candidate would be working from the Hague, and would visit the Knauf Insulation's Gilze office on a regular basis (e.g., 1/week). Regular travels are expected abroad (roughly 15% travel expectations). You will be part of a team of professionals in the Netherlands and also in our Western Europe community.
Responsibilities
As Public Affairs Manager, you will be supporting Knauf Insulation by monitoring, strategising and advocating for favorable public policies in the Netherlands focus on energy efficiency, renovation, fire safety, sustainability and circular economy and access to raw materials.
This includes:
- Develop and implement public affairs strategies to support the business growth and mitigate risks from public policy developments;
- Manage opportunities and risks by actively activating and mobilizing relevant trade associations (f.e. Mineral Wool Association Benelux, etc)
- Monitor national legislation, as well as the implementation of EU policies and renovation programs, assess their business impact and brief/scope the work of associations accordingly
- Develop and maintain contacts in the market to grow the ecosystem of trade associations and evaluate their performance
- Develop and maintain contacts with public officials and other stakeholders on policies of relevance
- Translate Knauf Insulation Central Public Affairs strategy and Knauf Insulation Netherlands / Western Europe business strategy into national Public Affairs actions
- Feedback public policy insights and details to Knauf Insulation marketing, sales and other parts of the organization to improve business performance
- Ensure transparency and integrity of all advocacy activities performed on behalf of Knauf Insulation

Required Qualifications
- University Degree (Political Science, Law, Economics or Social Sciences)
- 4-5 years of experience in public affairs, campaigns, public relations or communications
- Dutch and English at an advanced level
- Communication skills, independence and initiative in work

- Organizational and leadership skills
- Analytical in solving problems
