Are you currently studying food technology or food & business? And would you like to learn how new snacks are developed, tested, and improved? Then this internship at Merenda Foods is perfect for you.

At Merenda Foods, we develop custom solutions that are perfectly tailored to our target audience, from babies and toddlers to preschoolers, children, and adults. Product development plays a key role in this process. From creating recipes to testing samples and improving existing products, our team works every day to create snacks that meet the needs of our customers, consumers, and the market.

As a Product Development intern, you’ll be part of the Product Development team. Depending on your year of study, you’ll either assist with day-to-day tasks or work on an in-depth improvement project.

What does the position entail?

Sample management
Preparing and processing samples
Support for recipe development
Support for specification development
Participate in innovation projects
Contributing ideas to improvement projects
Recording results and product information

Are you a third-year student? If so, there is also an opportunity to work on an in-depth improvement project. This project focuses on optimizing extruded protein and fiber snacks made from legumes. The emphasis is on improving texture, shape stability, and product quality.
