What we ask
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Technology, Bio Processing, or similar.
- 0–4 years of experience in food, dairy, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industries.
- Affinity with process optimization and drying technology.
- Analytical, proactive, hands-on, and improvement driven.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Employment benefits:
- Salary between €3.903,17 and €5.018,36 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and fit for the role;
- A workweek of 32 to 38 hours, 5% year-end allowance, 10% bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme;
- A train card and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way);
- 200 hours of annual leave, with the option to buy or sell up to 40 hours;
Vacancy description
As a Technology Specialist Spray Drying, you will optimize and improve spray drying processes at FrieslandCampina's largest production site in Veghel. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and R&D, you will improve product quality, efficiency, yield, sustainability, and plant performance.
A key part of the role is optimizing and validating Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) processes to reduce water, energy, chemicals, and cleaning time while maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Optimize spray drying performance and process efficiency.
- Analyze process data and solve technical challenges.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve process monitoring and control.
- Support troubleshooting, product introductions, and process validations.
- Optimize CIP processes and contribute to sustainability and CO₂ reduction goals.
