Overview:
The Finance Analyst Europe reports to the Commercial Finance Manager Europe and acts as a Finance Business Partner supporting commercial and operational decision-making across A&P, Country teams and Logistics/Operations.
Together with your Europe analyst colleague(s), you have responsibility and play a key role in the planning cycles, live model updates, and commercial and operations performance management.

Be the Finance Business Partner of Operations/Logistics

Be the Finance Business Partner of UK, Italy and Spain Country teams

Be the Finance Business Partner of A&P Budget owners

As a successful business partner you:

Monitor financial performance and budget spend and keep them under control via review dashboards and sessions

Actively challenge commercial proposals, promotional mechanics, and investment cases to ensure value creation and ROI
-
Provide forward-looking insights on risks and opportunities, translating performance trends into clear actions.

Co-own the preparation of Yearly Plan, Live Models, and Update cycles in close collaboration with the team and Commercial Finance leadership

Analyze actuals versus plan/forecast and proactively identify deviations, risks, and corrective actions

Support country, category, and customer-level performance analysis.

Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (DOMO, Excel, Hyperion Essbase) to support commercial decision-making

Continuously improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and timeliness across commercial finance

Ensure a strong control environment in collaboration with Accounting and FP&A, especially around month-end and accruals.

Work closely with your team, Accounting and US Finance teams to ensure alignment and data consistency

Act as a finance point of reference for commercial stakeholders, elevating financial understanding and accountability.

Support ad hoc analyses, strategic initiatives, and special projects as required.

Act as backup for Commercial Finance colleagues when needed.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Degree minimum: Bachelor’s Degree

Specific concentration: Accounting
-
Experience level: 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis; preferably in a retail environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

The ability to communicate effectively with top management, project teams, and all other Associates.

Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail: able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable strategic recommendations.

The ability to work closely with other members of the Finance Department to meet deadlines for consolidation. Keeps Senior Finance Manager Europe informed on key issues.
