Engineering Site Manager

About the role
As Engineering Site Manager, you will lead and direct the Engineering Department at site level, managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians. You will play a critical role in driving New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You are responsible for ensuring the seamless transition of new products and processes into operations, while maintaining compliance with customer, FAA, and company requirements. You will act as a key link between Engineering and Operations, ensuring manufacturability, process stability, and operational excellence.
You will report to the Regional Director Engineering, with a dotted line to the Site General Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all engineering activities at site level, including NPI and process development
- Own the end-to-end industrialization process of new products and repair solutions
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering and production processes
- Lead automation and process optimization initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and safety
- Ensure successful implementation of new products into operations, including documentation, training, and tooling
- Collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders to meet technical and business requirements
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and project timelines
- Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, quality standards (ISO, FAA), and company policies
- Develop and mentor the engineering team, driving performance and engagement
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace or gas turbine engineering (design, manufacturing, or repair)
- Proven leadership experience (7–10 years) in managing technical teams within a manufacturing environment
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with NPI, process development, and production automation
- Solid understanding of gas turbine technology is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to solve complex problems and drive sustainable improvements
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization
