STORE SUPERVISOR (PART-TIME / FULL-TIME)

Amsterdam Chocolate Factory is a premium chocolate and gift store located in the heart of Amsterdam. We are currently looking for a reliable, mature, and responsible Store Supervisor to support the daily operation of our store and help lead our team.
The Role
As a Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, supporting team members, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in organisation and cleanliness, and is confident leading a small retail team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support team members during daily operations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable customer experiences.
- Welcome and assist international visitors and tourists.
- Support sales growth through product knowledge and upselling.
- Ensure the store is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times.
- Monitor product presentation and visual merchandising standards.
- Complete opening, midday, and closing procedures.
- Delegate tasks and ensure operational checklists are completed.
- Assist with stock management, replenishment, and weekly stock counts.
- Ensure hygiene, allergen, and food safety standards are followed.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Support management with daily sales reporting and operational improvements.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and productive working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, food service, or customer service.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a busy customer-facing environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
- English language skills required. Additional languages are a strong advantage.

Availability
We are looking for someone available approximately 30-35 hours per week across five working days.
