The Investment Banking Associate is an intermediate level position in our Benelux team in Amsterdam, responsible for assisting clients in executing complex M&A and equity capital market transactions in coordination with Sector and Product Banking teams. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients, which include large multinational corporates and financial sponsors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of M&A and ECM transactions, leveraging past experience
- Contribute to building Citi’s franchise
- Manage and mentor analysts by providing detailed guidance and feedback, managing information flow, as well as select project workstreams
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will hold 3-6 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Econometrics, or Science preferred
- Experience in corporate valuation and financial analyses
- Experience in handling multiple projects at the same time
- Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Ability to work closely within teams and track business development

Please Note the Applicable Primary Location Full Time Salary Range for the Role: EUR 135,000 – 160,000
This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015.
