We are a busy, friendly restaurant in Amsterdam serving freshly prepared pizzas and a diverse food menu. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team and help deliver high-quality food and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of pizza ingredients, including chopping vegetables, preparing toppings, and portioning ingredients.
- Support pizza preparation during service.
- Assist in preparing dishes from our restaurant menu.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required.
- Ensure food is stored safely and handled according to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Restock ingredients and supplies throughout service.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with general kitchen duties.
- Help with receiving and organizing deliveries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is preferred.
