How do you make our customers happy?
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, your customers are all analytics consumers within the Partner Domain, from Partner Networking Analysts to Product Analysts close to our API teams. Everyone who consumes data from your analytics layer is your best friend.
You take ownership of building and evolving a trusted, scalable analytics layer, enabling teams to make decisions confidently. You partner closely with business, product, and tech to ensure a single source of truth for performance metrics, campaign insights, and advertiser behavior.
Your primary focus will be within the Partner (e-commerce) domain, while remaining flexible to contribute across other domains (Customer, Advertising, Finance) as priorities evolve.
The biggest challenge
Scaling fast while keeping our data foundations clean, consistent, and future proof.
You operate across a broad analytics scope, deciding where to enforce standards and where to empower analysts with flexibility. You work cross-functionally — as part of the Analytics Engineering craft and embedded in a domain team — balancing long-term platform quality with immediate business needs.
At the same time, you integrate AI and agent-driven workflows into how data is built and consumed, while proactively managing performance and cost, which can scale exponentially if left unmanaged.
What you do as Analytics Engineer
You are senior analytics engineer who can take high-level direction from a domain lead (e.g. Head of Analytics) and translate it into scalable solutions and tangible impact. In this role you will also be closely collaborating with your fellow analytics engineers within the Analytics Engineering team. You bring knowledge from the domain to the central craft and bring scalability back to the domain.
You will:
Design and build end-to-end dbt data models, from raw ingestion to domain-level marts
Own and improve pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and reliability
Build and maintain robust data infrastructure (e.g. Airflow, CI/CD pipelines)
Define and monitor data quality, testing, and documentation standards
Partner with analysts and product teams to translate ambiguous needs into structured data solutions
Drive best practices and standards across teams and domains
Act as a technical owner for the health of your data products
Why you can make the difference
Because you bring technical depth, ownership mindset, and a real connection with our analytics consumers within the company.
You’re not just implementing solutions, you are responsible for ensuring they scale, perform, and deliver value. You understand trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality, and you proactively steer towards the right balance.
You’re curious about the business, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to operate independently while aligning stakeholders.
What we expect from you
~5 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a similar role
Proven ability to work autonomously and own problems end-to-end
Strong experience with SQL, dbt, and modern data stack principles
Experience with data modeling at scale and supporting multiple use cases
Understanding of data platform performance and cloud cost optimization
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions without detailed guidance
Comfortable working across teams and domains
