We’re looking for an Account Manager, Corporate Reputation to join our Amsterdam team. This is an opportunity for a strong communications professional to manage day-to-day client work, lead project teams and help companies and brands build, protect and strengthen their reputations.
What you’ll work on
As an Account Manager, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality Corporate Reputation programs. You will serve as a day-to-day client contact, help manage project teams and ensure work is delivered on time, on brief and to a high standard.
You will:
- Serve as a daily client contact across corporate reputation accounts, building trusted relationships through clear communication and responsive delivery
- Support the research, planning and development of integrated communications campaigns, including corporate positioning, message development, stakeholder mapping, media strategy and thought leadership
- Help manage small project teams, ensuring quality control, deadline adherence and strong client service
- Draft, review and edit communications materials, including press materials, briefing documents, messaging, Q&As, client correspondence and communications plans
- Contribute to media relations activity, including outreach planning, pitching, media monitoring, spokesperson preparation and event support
- Help clients engage with the stakeholders that matter to their business, including media, employees, regulators, partners, investors and broader public audiences
- Bring together Edelman capabilities across practices, markets and specialties to support client goals
- Use research, analytics and insight to inform recommendations and evaluate campaign performance
- Apply AI-enabled tools and Edelman’s responsible AI approach to support research, analysis, content development, media intelligence and campaign delivery, ensuring outputs are accurate, ethical, transparent and guided by human judgement
- Manage day-to-day project operations, including timelines, priorities, team coordination and budget tracking
- Support new business activity by contributing to proposals, research, credentials and pitch materials
- Coach junior colleagues, delegate clearly and help ensure team members continue to develop through feedback and on-the-job learning
What you bring
You are a confident and well-organized communications professional with strong writing skills, good judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
You will ideally have:
- At least four years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing, corporate communications, public relations, strategic media relations or a related field
- Experience managing projects and small teams on corporate, B2B or reputation-focused accounts
- A strong understanding of corporate reputation and how businesses build trust with key stakeholders
- Good knowledge of the Dutch and international media landscape, especially business, corporate and societal issues media
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex topics into clear, compelling communications
- Experience contributing to integrated communications plans across earned, digital, social and content channels
- The ability to manage client expectations, identify issues early and escalate appropriately when senior counsel is needed
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and confidence working to deadlines and budgets
- A collaborative mindset and interest in working across teams, practices and geographies
- Fluency in Dutch, required for this role
- Excellent business English, both spoken and written
- Curiosity and confidence in using AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve communications work, including research, planning, drafting, analysis and campaign optimization. This includes a clear understanding that AI should augment, not replace, human creativity, judgement and accountability
Working at Edelman Amsterdam
This is a hybrid role based in Amsterdam. Edelman Amsterdam follows a hybrid approach, with employees expected to work at least 60% of their time from the office based on a full-time contract. Our regular office hours are 9:00–17:30, with flexibility in working hours where agreed with your line manager, operations and team.
