As a Platform Engineer, you’ll design, build and automate deployment and operational workflows that keep our digital platform—and the applications riding on it—performing flawlessly across offices and vessels worldwide. Beyond day-to-day reliability, you’ll spearhead the development of new capabilities that evolve this environment into a full-fledged internal developer platform, giving teams the tools and golden paths they need to ship pioneering solutions faster than ever.
Partnering closely with end-users and stakeholders, you’ll introduce emerging technologies, embed DevOps best practices, and codify everything as repeatable pipelines. At the same time, you’ll streamline internal processes and policies, continually refining how we build, deploy, and support software to unlock innovation at scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem, edge, and cloud) with Terraform, Helm, and kube-adm, while managing GitOps deployment flows through Argo CD.
- Automate build-test-release pipelines in GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines with container images.
- Integrate observability stacks — Prometheus, Grafana — to deliver real-time dashboards, SLOs and proactive alerting.
- Embed security by design with HashiCorp Vault for secrets, and implementing network policy via Cilium and Tailscale.
- Work closely with software engineering teams, and other IT teams to capture requirements, remove blockers and migrate workloads.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging tools such as Linkerd for service mesh, eBPF-based Cilium extensions, OpenTelemetry collectors, and other capabilities.
- Produce clear runbooks, support architecture documentation and step-by-step “How-To” guides.
- Join an on-call rotation, troubleshoot incidents and perform post-mortems using to keep critical services available worldwide.
