Job Title: Senior AI / VLM / LLM Chest X-Ray (CXR)

Job Type: Contract 6-12 months (Hybrid 3 days a week)
We already have strong coverage. What we need now is a peer-level senior who can independently steer, decide, and deliver alongside the existing lead.
Purpose of the role:
Provide senior AI leadership on CXR-focused foundation and multimodal models, from architectural decisions through evaluation strategy and solution delivery, with strong situational awareness of when to flag issues across the programme.
Key capabilities
- Proven experience with CXR or medical imaging AI, preferably involving foundation or multimodal models (e.g. BioViL-T, GLoRIA, CheXzero, LLaVA-Med or comparable).
- Strong hands-on proficiency with PyTorch, MONAI, and HuggingFace ecosystems.
- Practical experience with DICOM-based data pipelines and large-scale training workflows.
- AWS experience and familiarity with cloud based dev environment.
- Demonstrated work on visionlanguage alignment, report generation, and evaluation using metrics/tools such as BLEU, ROUGE, CheXbert, RadGraph.
- Able to work and deliver autonomously across time zones, collaborating closely with EU and India-based development teams.
- Excellent communication skills: able to explain complex technical trade-offs clearly and escalate risks at the right moment (neither too early nor too late).
