Subscription Specialist German

Do you speak German and English fluently, and would you like to gain valuable work experience alongside your studies? As a German Subscription Specialist at Gomibo, you help our German customers get connected to their new mobile subscription as quickly and smoothly as possible.
You work in an international, ambitious team at our headquarters in the centre of Groningen. With Gomibo, we are expanding across Europe, and Germany is one of our key markets.
What will you do?
You make sure German customers can start using their mobile subscription without any issues. You check customer details, process subscription applications and make sure all information in our system matches the provider’s system.
Around one third of your time is spent on customer contact by email and phone. You answer questions about applications, number portability, invoices and activations. You also contact providers when something needs to be solved during the activation process.
We do not work with sales targets or sales tricks. Your goal is to give every customer a clear, honest and helpful answer. You think along, ask the right questions and make sure customers know where they stand.
Once you have mastered the basics, you can grow to the next level. This means taking on more complex cases, such as number portability issues or invoice problems. More responsibility also means the opportunity to grow in salary.
This is what your day could look like
After class, you cycle to our office on the Grote Markt. You grab a coffee, catch up with your colleagues and start your shift with the daily tasks. A lot of new subscription orders have come in, so together with the team you make sure everything is processed correctly and on time.
You start by checking new applications and making sure all customer details are complete. Later, you contact a German customer about a number portability request and answer a few emails about subscription activations. If a provider gives an error message, you contact them to find a solution.
At the end of your shift, you close your laptop knowing that many customers are one step closer to using their new subscription. And if it is Friday, you can join your colleagues for VrijMiBo on the roof terrace.

Career opportunities
You start with the basic subscription tasks and customer contact. As you gain experience, you can take on more complex cases and responsibilities. Eventually, you can grow into roles such as coordinator, where you help colleagues with difficult questions or train and coach new team members.
This role is also a great starting point to grow into another study-related position within Belsimpel or Gomibo, either during or after your studies.
Who are you?
- You are fluent in German and English.
- You can understand Dutch, but speaking Dutch is not required.
- You are studying at hbo or university level.
- You are available for at least 16 hours per week.
- You are available at least one evening per week and one weekend day every two weeks.
- You will be in Groningen for at least one year, preferably longer.
- You have Dutch healthcare insurance.
- You work accurately, communicate clearly and enjoy helping customers.
- You feel responsible for the customers you help and think in solutions.
