You will join the Projects & Special Segments organization, working closely with OEM sponsors, Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Legal. The role reports to the Co-CCO Special Segments & Projects and is based in Rotterdam.
The team operates in a highly international and commercial-technical environment, where collaboration, ownership, and an entrepreneurial mindset are key. You will work across functions and regions, driving category strategy and OEM partnerships that directly impact global product and service performance.
As Category Manager, you are responsible for managing the full product and service lifecycle, from concept, market input and selection through launch, updates, and discontinuation. You define and prioritize product and service requirements based on market insights, customer needs, competitor analysis, and regulatory developments.
You work closely with OEMs, Procurement, Sales, Operations and Legal to develop and manage global agreements, optimize product portfolios, and ensure strong supplier performance. You also play a key role in translating product developments into commercial opportunities and supporting global growth initiatives. In addition, you ensure alignment between product strategy, supply chain, and data governance, including master data and lifecycle management within ERP systems.
- Manage the full product and service lifecycle (requirements, selection, launch, updates, obsolescence, discontinuation);
- Gather and prioritize product requirements based on market, customer and competitor insights;
- Develop and manage strategic OEM relationships, including negotiations on commercial terms and global agreements;
- Identify and develop new OEM’s and category opportunities;
- Leading (global) tenders and support (global) campaigns
- Initiate RFQs and support strategic sourcing initiatives; based on acquired – non-committed – indicative – market potential
- Monitor regulations and translate them into commercial and product opportunities;
- Support Sales & Marketing with product content, campaigns and category input;
- Ensure accurate product, pricing and lifecycle data in Business Central and MDM systems;
- Lead QBRs, vendor performance reviews, and ensure OEM compliance (including export control);
- Develop OEM roadmaps, business cases, and performance insights.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar;
- 5+ years of experience in the maritime or technical B2B industry;
- Experience in category management, product management or procurement;
- Excellent command of English and Dutch language.
