POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst Team Lead, reporting into the Senior Manager Data Products will lead the development of data-as-a-product solutions to the market. You will be required to have a deep understanding of producer, market partner and consumer data needs, and the ability to translate these into a set of data solutions, with clear priorities and roadmap for delivery. You will also be required to have a vision on how that can be translated into insights that will drive positive impact for our producer partners and planet. You will be responsible for ensuring that the data products released are fit for purpose and deliver optimal value.
You will also be responsible for co-developing the roadmap in regards to data delivery (in collaboration with the Senior Manager Data Products), determining prioritization of work amongst the team, coaching in order to increase the level of knowledge and expertise.
About 50% of your time will be spent on team leadership and strategic initiatives and 50% will be spent on hands on operational project work.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Manage a team of 3-4 data analysts;
Ensure early knowledge and involvement in initiatives with a data component so that data requirements can be considered;
Staying up to date with data reporting technologies;
Retrieving data reporting needs from external clients and potential customers;
Work collaboratively across departments to drive insights externally based on data (i.e. translating data to action);
Work closely with Product Managers to ensure that any data needs are accounted for in requirements of tooling;
Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure alignment of roadmaps, manage dependencies and propose data engineering solutions;
Continuously improve reporting capabilities across both analytics teams;
Responsible for rolling out dashboards to the organization and supporting project-related rollouts with the support of the Implementation team.
Driving alignment with internal stakeholders as part of the customer roll out process;
Identify potential biases and reporting risks by periodically connecting with colleagues in the field/ stakeholders involved in the data gathering and provide them with reports that allow them to identify and prevent these risks and biases;
Establish a standardized and organized way of gathering regional insight and integrate it as data in our internal reports to promote bottom-top strategies; and
Identifying opportunities to integrate data in an efficient, thoughtful way to maximize engagement and ease of use.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Bachelor's degree, with fluency in mathematics, statistics and/or data analysis;
7 years' experience data reporting and analysis;
1 years' experience in management; or equivalent in coaching, mentoring and training junior staff.
Identify underlying challenges and work proactively and collaboratively to solve them;
E2E experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, tableau;
Fluency in English
