Role Overview
We are seeking a Wage Tax Director for our growing tax team in the Amsterdam office. This role will give you unique career opportunities in one of the fastest growing tax practices. The Wage Tax Director will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of wage tax compliance and advice for our clients. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll taxes, staying updated on relevant tax laws and regulations, and providing guidance to the payroll team as well as identifying business development opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver on complex wage tax and payroll tax matters working closely with Managing Directors.
- Provide commercial insights and considerations that help drive the growth of the practice.
- Develop relationships with clients and build your external network.
- Oversee the development of junior colleagues, contributing to their professional growth.
- Internally network with other A&M service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Identify opportunities for improving the overall payroll tax processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in wage tax laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes.
- Act as the main point of contact for our clients, identifying any additional advice and cross sell opportunities
Qualifications:
- Proven senior-level experience in wage and payroll taxes in the Netherlands;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- A number of years Dutch Tax experience required;
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills;
- Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines;
