Your role in bringing stories to life :
As a Congress & Events Intern, you’ll join a team that organizes international scientific congresses and professional meetings. Our projects cover a wide range of fields including medicine, technology, and global industry, working with international organizations and leading companies. Because the team works closely together, you’ll have the opportunity to learn across different areas instead of being limited to one role. This role is perfect if you’re curious about how global congresses come to life and eager to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, international environment.
Your tasks and responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Provide customer support to participants, sponsors and VIPs for a wide range of international congresses (via telephone and e-mail).
- Maintain the delegate management database in our registration system.
- Assist participants (individual and groups) with congress registrations.
- Keep records of customer interactions and send payment reminders.
- Actively be involved with project planning and reporting.
- Explore and contribute to digital solutions such as event mobile apps and websites (if timeframe internship allows).
- Participate in internal project meetings.
- Help with editing and proof-reading documents.
- Assist during conferences (if timeframe internship allows).

- In addition to the Dutch public holidays, an entitlement to one day paid leave per calendar month will be granted for the duration of the agreement (based on full time internship). Should the student be working at MCI during the month of December, several days will be pre-allocated to the week between Christmas and New Year when the MCI Amsterdam office is officially closed.
Each intern has a mentor assigned, who is supervising the work of the intern, but is also coaching and guiding the intern throughout the duration of the internship.
