For our dynamic Global Information Security Team at our HQ in Nootdorp, we are looking for a driven Manager Security Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and further developing our Security Operations function. You will play a key part in protecting Fugro’s global information and assets, not only by detecting and responding to threats, but also by keeping our landscape secure, hardened, and resilient by design.

You lead Fugro’s global security operations team, ensuring timely detection and response to threats and coordinating cross-functional efforts to protect our people, assets, and information;
You own our managed SOC service and the technical implementation of security tooling, including EDR, SIEM, email filtering, and related defensive platforms;
You lead the full incident response lifecycle: detection, triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and evidence handling;
You define, continuously improve, and maintain operational processes, procedures, playbooks, and workflows for alerting, escalation, and incident handling;
You maintain and develop an effective set of detection use cases, providing Fugro with early warning of security events of interest;
You drive the continuous hardening of Fugro’s IT, cloud, and OT landscape, working with infrastructure, platform, and application teams to ensure baselines, configurations, and security controls remain effective against evolving threats;
You own global vulnerability management across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and workplace, setting clear priorities based on risk, exploitability, and business impact, and ensuring remediation is tracked through to closure;
You manage Fugro’s security testing program, including penetration testing, code scanning, secure development support, and red and purple team exercises, translating findings into structural improvements;
You provide management with clear visibility into emerging threats, operational risks, exposure levels, SOC performance, and the overall security posture of the environment;
You work closely with Information Security Officers and regional teams across the organization, making sure Security Operations stays aligned with both global standards and business needs;
You develop, mentor, and coach team members to ensure they have the support, skills, and capabilities needed to perform effectively;
You build and promote an operational culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You have a BSc or MSc in Information Security, Computer Science, or relevant professional experience, with at least 7 years of experience in information security, including a minimum of 2 years managing or coordinating SOC or security operations teams;
You have the proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement;
You have hands‑on experience with SIEM tooling and a strong understanding of security monitoring, detection and incident response;
You remain calm, structured, and effective during high‑pressure situations or major incidents; and take ownership by driving and orchestrating the end‑to‑end incident response, ensuring effective coordination, decision‑making, and continuous improvement;
You have a solid technical foundation across IT infrastructure and Operational Technology (OT) concepts;
You communicate clearly, translate technical issues into practical business actions, and have excellent written and spoken English skills;
Relevant certifications (CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCIR, GSOC, CDSA, OSDA, CCSP, or similar) are a plus, but what matters most is a genuine commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
