As Automation Electrician, you are essential to the safe and efficient operation of our vessels’ electrical systems and equipment. You’ll work on offshore projects worldwide, reporting to the Second and First Electrician, and collaborating with a skilled technical team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Act per standing instructions, execute and assist with the administration of maintenance, troubleshooting
and commissioning of automation systems;
- Understand the plant process and system behaviour and implement software and configuration changes in
line with applicable work methods;
- Analyse system behaviour by trending and data analysis;
- Configure industrial networks system;
- Collect and organise system improvements and bug reports in a centralised manner;
- Participate in work safety and act according Allseas safety standards as per AIMS;
Depending on your seniority, the following tasks may also be applicable:
- Deal with larger and more complex systems (such as TLS, JLS, tensioner etc.) that require more interfacing with other (shore based)
disciplines. In this role, he/she will:
- Align with the Control, Automation and Monitoring Unit and apply the applicable development procedures
and software tools available to develop and maintain automation systems in order to:
- Keep compliance with regulatory bodies such as Lloyd’s
- Maintain traceability, version control and relevant documentation
- Maximise regression testing and make use of all available (virtual) test facilities.
- Coach Junior Automation Electricians and be responsible for organising their work on complex systems.
