What will you do?
In this role, you work on test setups, protocols and analyses for prototypes and final products within our energy solutions portfolio. You are involved in complex R&D projects and contribute to building test strategies, standards and infrastructure that structurally support our development teams.
As a senior, you act as a technical expert, guide less experienced colleagues and actively contribute to improving our test processes, product reliability and overall architecture.
Your responsibilities include:
Engineering & Test Environment Development

Developing complex test setups and environments for high‑tech electronics and embedded systems.

Writing comprehensive test protocols based on IEC standards, specifications and functional requirements.

Supporting the build, integration and verification of test setups and measurement equipment.
-
Advancing test methodologies and defining standards for new product platforms.
Testing & Analysis
-
Testing prototypes and final products on embedded software, control systems, electronics and hardware.
-
Analysing and interpreting test data and identifying root causes of deviations.
-
Selecting and applying advanced measurement equipment and test tools.
-
Documenting test results and conclusions for internal reviews and audits.
Advisory & Technical Improvements
-
Translating test results into concrete design improvements.
-
Advising engineers and project teams on hardware and software modifications to enhance testability and product performance.

Providing go/no‑go recommendations based on test findings.
-
Contributing to product architecture through substantiated test and quality analyses.

Advising Business Units on routine testing and required test equipment.
Seniority & Leadership
-
Coaching, training and guiding junior and medior Test Engineers.
-
Acting as a technical sounding board for complex challenges and engineering questions.
-
Improving and safeguarding test processes, standards and methodologies within R&D.
-
Participating in standards committees and contributing to the development of relevant (IEC) standards.
-
Identifying risks, bottlenecks and dependencies in multidisciplinary projects.
What do we ask of you?

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
-
In‑depth knowledge of embedded systems, (power) electronics or energy storage systems.
-
Experience in writing/executing test plans for embedded and/or power electronics systems.
-
Skilled in developing test setups and using measurement equipment.
-
Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. IEC).
-
Experience with programming languages and/or high‑voltage, EMC and power converters.
-
In possession of VCA and VP LS.
-
Strong analytical and communication skills.
-
Excellent command of Dutch and English.
