What to Expect
The Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician uses their knowledge in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic production systems to lead a crew of maintenance technicians to sustain production machinery processes. Lead Technicians organize, support, and lead technicians to respond to breakdowns of production equipment and make repairs as quickly as possible. They diagnose root cause machine breakdowns and perform Preventative Maintenance as well as train and mentor technicians to optimize machinery up-time. Track and document all maintenance activities performed in Tesla’s Computerized Maintenance Management System. Lead Maintenance Technicians to collaborate w/ all cross-functional to engage in equipment/process improvements and projects.
What You'll Do-
Lead the maintenance crew in day-to-day coverage of production line equipment: responses to UPDT and production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Lead by example and ensuring you and the team always work according to the highest safety standards including ensuring LOTO procedures are followed and participate in equipment related safety buy offs.

Oversee analysis and adjustment of maintenance practices, procedures, reactive, preventative, corrective maintenance schedules and mean-time metrics.

Lead continuous improvement processes to improve machine up-time and reduce repetitive equipment breakdowns.

Train and develop Maintenance technicians to create, modify, and implement PM and AM documents and schedules, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Engineer

Perform and oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial equipment

Fluent with common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Program) and similar applications

Work closely with the Equipment Engineers during escalations, RCA’s and equipment building activities.
What You'll Bring-
At least 3 years of maintenance/equipment work-related experience

Electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 400 VAC 3 phase, Mechanical systems, Conveyors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Test

Worked in industry as an Electrician\ Vehicle Technician\ Mechanic\ or related field

Production Manufacturing maintenance experience, troubleshoot and repair Industrial or Military maintenance experience preferred

Welding, Metal Fabrication and panel building experience preferred

Must have good command of the English language both verbal and written communication
