As our business continues to expand across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Manager to oversee our financial operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Dutch GAAP and company policies.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
- Coordinate monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Trade Finance & Risk Control
- Monitor trading transactions, inventory valuation, and profit & loss reporting.
- Manage letters of credit, bank guarantees, documentary collections, and trade finance facilities.
- Support commodity hedging and risk management activities.
- Ensure proper financial controls for international trading operations.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory filings in the Netherlands.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch accounting, tax, and corporate regulations.
- Maintain and improve internal control procedures.
Strategic & Business Support
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
- Support business expansion projects, investments, and financing activities.
- Develop financial KPIs and management dashboards.
- Assist in optimizing ERP and accounting systems.
Team Management
- Supervise accounting and finance staff, including interns and external service providers.
- Develop efficient financial processes and promote best practices.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- ACCA, RA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant financial management experience.
- Experience in commodity trading, logistics, energy, biofuels, shipping, or international trade is highly preferred.
- Experience working with Dutch accounting and tax regulations.
- Experience with inventory accounting and trade finance instruments.
Skills
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Exact, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or Chinese is an advantage.
