The Team
A&M EMEA Corporate Finance (“A&M EMEA CF”) is a rapidly growing M&A advisory division within Alvarez and Marsal (“A&M”), with over 160 M&A professionals operating out of more than 20 offices i.e. in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Dubai. We collaborate as “one EMEA team” driven by a sector-focused approach and serve founders, entrepreneurs, financial investors, and market-leading corporations with tailored Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory, Capital Raising Advisory, and Strategic Advisory services.
How you will contribute
We are seeking an experienced Analyst to join our A&M EMEA Corporate Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile M&A transactions across EMEA.
You will have the opportunity to build on your existing capabilities, develop new skills, deepen your sector expertise, and apply your interest in key industries. You will support the growth of our practice by helping to originate and execute business with high-quality clients across family-owned businesses, private equity, and corporates throughout the EMEA region. As a valued member of a fast-growing team, you will play an important role in shaping our culture and contributing to our continued success.
Key responsibilities:
Play a key role as part of the execution team on M&A mandates
Support origination efforts, including the preparation and delivery of pitch materials
- Manage multiple workstreams effectively to deliver high-quality outputs against demanding timelines
- Work closely with A&M teams across the region and internationally on both origination and execution activities
- Support the preparation of transaction documentation, with a particular focus on high-quality marketing materials
- Assist with overall transaction process management, including data room administration, adviser coordination, and process tracking
- Support the preparation of valuation analyses, including public company comparables, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow analysis, and LBO / IRR analysis
- Monitor news, trends, and developments across targeted industries and client groups
Qualifications
Strong academic background with Master’s degree from an accredited top-tier university in business, economics, finance or a similar discipline is essential
- Relevant previous experience in corporate finance, M&A or other similar areas is essential
- Demonstrated M&A technical skills including familiarity with various valuation methodologies, financial modelling skills and overall familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to leverage technology to consistently deliver work in an effective and efficient manner, and
- Analytical mindset combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Fluent business level of English is required, Dutch and/or German is strongly preferred
