What to Expect
As an Associate Support Engineer, you will be part of Tesla’s Industrial Storage Technical Support team, supporting the global monitoring and health of Tesla’s energy storage fleet. This includes ensuring 24/7/365 coverage across all regions (EMEA, NAM, APAC) through coordinated shift work. Your responsibilities will focus on proactive site surveillance, alert triage, hotline coverage, and supporting fleet health initiatives. You will also assist in emergency response and contribute to global coordination efforts.
What You'll Do-
Monitor Industrial Storage sites globally and address anomalies using standardized workflows

Escalate technical gaps and process improvement opportunities to relevant teams

Provide hotline coverage and first-line technical triage for incoming support requests

Support emergency response activities during outages or critical events

Ensure smooth shift handovers and support global escalations, such as firmware rollouts, capacity tests, and field service requests

Maintain records of site status, outages, alerts, and test results in internal platforms

Participate in shift rotations, including weekend coverage every 4–6 weeks
What You'll Bring-
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or relevant experience in a related field

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global support environment

Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Customer-focused attitude with sense of urgency and ownership

Ability to read electrical schematics and understand communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus)

Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level); additional languages are a plus

Experience in a support engineering role, Linux usage and proficiency in data analytics, AI, and scripting (e.g., Excel macros, Python, SQL) is a plus
