What to Expect
Specialize in network engineering and leadership in an industrial environment. This role will lead a team of network engineers handling regional implementation, analytical triage, and operational support. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation with a team of Network Engineers responsible for all EMEA and UK customers.
What You'll Do-
Lead teammates on the IoT Network Engineering team on designs, production deployments and initiatives

Maintain current network solution within energy sites including compliance

Function as a Tier 3 escalation point

Requirements gathering, analyze, and propose solutions for networking needs

Provision, implement, test/validation, and maintain networking services remotely per solution design leveraging regional staging environments

Conduct product POC evaluation leveraging regional labs

Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services

Document network knowledgebase and operational “Run-Book”

Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays

Participate in on call rotation

15% travel required as necessary
What You'll Bring-
Extentsive experience in a production industrial or manufacturing networking infrastructure, preferably in the energy industry

Several years of expereince in leading a team of engineers in a fast paced technically complex environment with external customer support requirements

Extensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, end to end QOS/COS (focused on industrial real-time protocols), VLAN, VRRP, LACP, SDWAN, EVPN with VXLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling.

Extensive experience with multi-vendor industrial switching technologies including Cisco IE (IOS and IOS XE/IOx), Hirschmann, Siemens, Beckhoff, Moxa, N-Tron and similar industrial switches and PLCs.

Working experience with other common non-industrial switching platforms such as Juniper, Arista, etc.

Working experience with industrial protocols such as CIP Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, BACnet, EtherCAT, REP, MRP, HSR and similar protocols.

Experience with Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX and Palo Alto Networks firewall services including IPSEC VPN, URL filtering, and IDS/IPS.

Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, Netflow, IPAM, RADIUS, Splunk, network taps, SPAN ICS scanners (CyberVision, Clarory, Teneble, etc.), and load/stress testing.

Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics (Salt, Ansible, Python, Shell Scripting)

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other common tools

CCNP, CCNA Industrial certifications preferred
