I am going to keep it short, the company has all the tools to succeed, but with all the people leaving from the middle management and all the knowledge being lost, it makes it difficult to grow and to improve without having to put alot of hours in. None existent trainings, coaching, sparring partners, vision is being lost by day-to-day struggles. Support from higher management is low, and HR is a joke. The whole structure of HR is a big mess and alot of mistakes are being done. Its a big shame since there are alot of passionate and amazing people working in this company.
My advice: Invest in the middle management, give them coaching and the support needed. Listen to their needs and try to create an environment where they feel comfortable to work with. According to the market Ceva gives always the lowest salaries in my area but nobody is trying to do something about it to get talented people in.
HR system and portals/structure and process needs to be re-thought. Its just a joke.
PluspuntenGreat and passionate people that put in the hours and try to make the company successful, Spirit and teamwork is there, and you see often people giving 1000%, Innovative ideas and also optimizations are also there and are being encouraged
MinpuntenNo attention to the middle management, No coaching, No trainings, Bad life/work balance because of being understaffed at the middle management level, Paying for a Toyota and expect a Ferrari

Verschillende producten, verschillende vertrekken.
Het moeilijkste van de baan;
af en toe hele lange dagen
Het leukste van de baan;

PluspuntenGratis fruit, leuke collega's

Poor Management - Barbaric Process - Circus-Like Culture
At the time of writing this review, the contents provided will be specific to what is currently the CEVA Plainfield IND site on Airwest. If it happens, this operation will be moving to Clayton, IN. Therefore, if you are potentially looking to onboard at a CEVA site in Clayton at the time of reading this, be prepared to enter under the same management and such. Let us dive in:
This all will be pretty straightforward, simple, and to the point. This specific location of CEVA is the most unstructured, unorganized, inefficient, mismanaged, and barbaric business system driven operation I have ever been a part of. Basically, there is no legitimate onboarding training, whether you’re on the floor or going into management. You will just have to ask around and figure it out if you want to learn anything. Everyone has their own interpretation of what the actual standard operating procedure is and what the correct way to manage different situations should be. Because of this circus-like culture, every process that is conducted to perform any business function in the facility is incredibly inefficient. The barbaric business system? Glad you asked. I had to wind-back my brain to go back in time to 2005 to try and learn the way of technology and processing in order to do my job here…no exaggeration. Most of the processes in this operation are completely manual so the overall likelihood that you or someone else from start to finish will make a mistake, is extremely high. With a very reasona
I started working 4 days on 4 days off. You work 12 hours for 4 days continuously, then you get rest for 4 days. And you keep going like that. I started off the first week and from the first day, i did some picking (forklift) and packing, getting used to things. The other following days became a bit easier than the previous ones, by avoiding some stress because i got more confidence knowing how to do things in a proper manner, finding less difficulties thereafter. The Logistics Warehouse i worked in, basically more than 90% of the people were polish, even all the agency employers, which was neutral for me, as you can hear polish chit-chat everywhere as i worked back in 2015. I didn't really care. The thing is, as i started working the following third week, i finished my third shift (day) and after i have finished it, i got a message from my employer telling me that there's not enough work. To emphasise this, when i applied on the indeed.co.uk, it said the job was full-time with contract which i quickly disregard it since it was going to be bullocks truth. So the message told me that there was not enough work for me on the fourth day, linking back to my emphasis. This shows that the company is pointless to deal with anything against them and just stay put for the majority of your time. In an instant, you could be not needed anymore since they employ a lot of people in the first place, and take it that you are not needed anymore which is annoying, given the fact that nearly eve
PluspuntenEnough breaks, good salary, friendly people.
MinpuntenUnstable department, saying one thing, then saying another.
This company is a joke. They do not give merit raises every year, and on the years they do they will give you .02 percent of a raise. They bump up their starting pay every 2 years to match the cost of living and stay competitive for new employees but leave the employees already hired on without raises for years at a time and they will cut your hours back to 35 hours a week from December through the end of the first quarter. ,
If you work here for more than 2 years you will end up training someone making far more than you. HR, station managers and global executives are aware of this and if you bring this issue up to them they will lie and say they are trying to fix the issue. Ten years later still hasn't been able to get fixed lol,
Management has no idea how departments work and they will come out with accusations before evaluating the situation. They are extremely disrespectful and do not even have common sense at times. They are mainly focused on outdated metrics that are not relevant to your daily tasks to ensure they get their bonus.,
They are really good at offering promotions without an increase in pay or any other benefits.,
The only way you will actually make descent money and advance within this location is if you have close ties with your management on a personal level.,
The company refuses to upgrade it's technology and has sales reps working with laptops that are several generations behind. They use a system that looks like it was designed to run on Windows 95 and
PluspuntenIf you are just starting in the industry you could learn a lot here
MinpuntenLow pay little to no merit increase, Broken promise's, no opportunity for advancements without having relationships with management outside of work
I have worked in many positions and in many departments over the past 8 years. The work/life balance is terrible. Management says they care about your balance but then put you on mandatory overtime with no definite end date. They cut your hours with barely any notice. Every week is a shot in the dark as to how many hours you are going to get. Warehouse personnel work in non-climate controlled environment and for 8 - 12 hours a day 5 - 7 days a week with only one additional 15 minute break. There are at least 3 people every year that end up being taken off campus in an ambulance due to the heat.
If you do a good job in your position, they tack on more responsibilities and tasks but with no extra compensation. If you mess up or forget something after they have given you too much of a workload, you get written up. After a few of those they walk you out.
Office personnel get hours cut and are the last to get their hours back. The same situation with responsibilities and tasks. They give you more work and you CANNOT fall behind even after they cut your hours or you will get written up or yelled at (yes my manager called me up on my phone and YELLED at me and then hung up on me).
The management team used to be wonderful to work for. They cared about their employees and would work with you if you have a sick child or court dates or whatever you are going thru. Management now is more about showing Corporate office how "awesome" they are. Somewhere along the way the employees wer
PluspuntenIt pays weekly
MinpuntenNonclimate controlled environment; Managment is not easy to work for
I've worked two different roles at the same CEVA site in Daventry on Naysmyth, on various shifts and over the 5 months total it's been the most unpleasant working experience i've had to date.
Morning shift as a goods-in receiver is great, but back shift as a ppt loader is awful.
The managers push you and stress you to work faster, they are on your back about abiding by SOP's and "work instructions" which they themselves do not follow at all.
I'm disabled and i'm getting told i'm taking "too f*ing long" to tip a 40ft trailer with wheeled photocopier machines that weight up to and above 100kg, they know of my disability, they knew before hiring me, and instead of complaining about my disability im working safely and quickly to my capacity.
There are so many archaic processes in place at this company that make you question if the board of directors and the upper echolons of management know if they have phased into the 21st century or not. Instead of buying a mobile label gun im walking around with a stack of a4 sticky labels quality checking hundreds of pallets and while being moaned at by my manager who says im taking too f*ing long.
Yeah nah avoid this place unless you're tapped in the head, you love being paid peanuts, being moaned at and sworn at for doing your job correctly and safely, or if for any reason you enjoy double standards out the wazoo that make you question your own sanity.
I've seen a few of the managers using mobile phones while driving vario

Receptionist
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to apply for the part-time receptionist poition recently advertised on seek.com.au. My technical and personal skills as well as experience to date match the requirements of the role.
In my previous role as receptionist for a company that specialised in International logistics, I maintained contact with international and national clients in the marine and shipping sector, received calls and redirected them to the right person or division, researched and evaluated logistic solutions for our company and requested shipping quotes from a range of suppiers.
Further to this, received, analysed and followed up shipment documentation for imports and exports of products so they could be delivered on time and according to clients’ specifications.
A few years ago I also worked as a recpetionst for a platics company. I was responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, meeting and greeting visitors, maintaining the cleanliness of meeting rooms, kitchen and reception area, organised cleaning companies to look after various areas of the office, ordered stationary supplies and managed incoming and outgoing courier deliveries.
I feel confident using computers, particularly Excel, Word, Power Point and Internet. Aside from my experience, I am a realible person capable of working individually or as pasrt of a team. I easily get along with people at different levels and approach problems with an open minded view that allow me to se
Fast-paced work environment, supportive coworkers and effective management
My day starts at 6am. I arrive at work 20 minutes prior to the shift to check the daily roster. This is followed by a tool box meeting held by our Operations manager. There is a morning break at 9am and lunch break at 12pm. During this time my work colleagues and I socialize by playing soccer, billiards or table tennis.
Depending on the tasks we either work in teams to load/unload containers or we individually pick stock by operating the appropriate MHE (Scissor fork, Gas fork, Pallet jack, High Reach fork). Throughout the course of my career as a storeperson I have learned to operate each type of MHE and I have also developed a clear understanding in the use of RF scanning. I learned to operate independently and I am able to coordinate tasks and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
By working in a group environment I developed skills which are necessary to achieve successful outcomes as a team. A few of my coworkers come form a non-English speaking background. I learned that teamwork is possible in any situation, even when a language barrier exists. It showed me that clear communication and support is essential in completing the tasks effectively.
The hardest part of the job is unloading containers in summer as the high temperatures inside the container create difficult working conditions. However, to manage this difficulty we have appropriate OH&S procedures put in place.
The most enjoyable aspect of the job for me is being able to perform a varie
Easy to start, at the expense of training and guidance
Work at CEVA is actually pretty simple, once you know what you're doing. The training is poor quality, but the sheer amount of coworkers on the floor who can help you learn makes up for it somewhat.
At CEVA you're constantly under shipment deadlines that are fairly easy to meet. However because of those deadlines the management is constantly stressed and frequently gets into public in-fighting, often taking it out on their employees, with multiple supervisors and team leads often giving conflicting orders and making the work more of a hassle than it really needs to be.
The job environment for workers is relatively laid-back and those on the floor tend to get along, though perhaps this is due to everyone having an antagonist (the supervisors) in common.
Job security shouldn't be expected at CEVA. Warehouse workers and forklift drivers are considered expendable, even if it's to the detriment of the company. There's a paradox at CEVA where they're always looking for workers but hemorrhaging more than they can hire. Perhaps this explains the lack of proper training: the sheer amount of workers they frequently hire can't all be trained individually if there's empty roles in constant need of being filled.
CEVA also has a problem with training their standing forklift drivers, never truly OSHA certifying most of them for the same reasons employees on the floor aren't fully trained.
I'd recommend the job as a warehouse worker if you're looking for a quick buck, but don'
At first I very happy to have gotten the job at Ceva back in April. I was praised for my work and to adapt to any circumstances. I learned alot from one co-worker.
A typical day would be cycle counting and receiving goods in and shipping goods out. It was hot and hard work but I enjoyed what I was doing and learning. What I learned was using SAP which was quite easy to pick up. There were two co-workers that I really enjoyed working with. They helped me learn the system, procedures, and were always there to help me. The management was a different story. I hardly seen my supervisor, and as for my Lead he never spoke to me or gave me any direction what so ever. If I did have to speak with him he was rude and would not acknowledge me ever. The hardest part of the job was when I reported an incident that happened to me in the work place I was retailated against. I was not believed and nothing happen to that worker. After reporting this incident no one would talk to me, help me, and would take work away from me. Everyday after that reported incident I was getting written up for something when finally they fired me. I enjoyed the job up until July and really thought I found a good secure work place but I was wrong. They are racist and bias against woman and white people. What happened to me should not have happened to anyone it was so horrible and I have heard of these things happening but have never been in one. I handled it the best way I could but they broke me
PluspuntenPay
MinpuntenManagement, racists leads, no human resource person to assist you
CEVA Logistics pays good and offers some decent benefits, but the management is all over the place.. The company changes management like the weather (at least 3 different Area Managers in the past 3 years). You would think that the company would be run on one accord. Yet all three shifts (1st/2nd/AWS) operate on their own terms, causing tension between supervisors and trickling down to the "little guys." Honestly, it's nearly chaotic in the BW2 building located in Mt. Juliet, TN. I used to come to work to a warm, friendly and enthusiastic setting when I started nearly 4 years ago. In recent years I've progressively began to feel miserable just at the thought of having to go in that building. Work used to be just that, go in do your best..good vibes. Then they demanded that we meet hourly quotas as floor workers and forklift operators, which was no problem on a busy day. But to have that same demand during the slow season or a slow day and have people nearly fighting like dogs for work, taking co-workers' work from them, is just unfair especially when they're threating peoples' jobs for not meeting company goals in situations that are out of the employees' control. I've seen them chase away tenured co-workers that had been with the company for 16+ years! It's almost as if this company has no regard or concern for the employees' lives outside of work, either demanding they work early, stay late or leave work early with no adequate notice or warning in advance. Besides the pay,
